Team Competitions
The Sub-Juniors, Juniors and Inters are working towards the Betty Fitzpatrick Competitions and the CAWA State Championships. Both of these competitions are where all the Calisthenics clubs in WA come together to display the work that they have been taught for that year.

Term 1 the coaches place the children in designated teams and they are taught different sets of work according to their age, ability and expertise. These are the teams and items that they will be performing at the competitions.

Graceful Girls
The Graceful Girl Competitions are held in April and May and are open to all affiliated Calisthenics children from Junior (10 years) through to Senior age. Graceful Girl is a combination of aesthetic exercises, natural dancing and elevation performed to an appropriate piece of music. The cost of the tuition, hall hire, costume hire and entry must be met by the individual. All arrangements are made between the girl, her parents and the coach.

Solo and Duo and Applecross Esteidfodd

These competitions are held in October and  November each year and are open to all affiliated Calisthenics members.  A duo is a combination of flexibility and dance performed to appropriate music.  A solo is a combination of free exercises, flexibility and dance performed to appropriate music.

Members may enter either the solos or duo section or both. It is entirely up to the individual. The Solo/Duo Competitions are traditionally low key and are intended to be a “fun” competition for the children to finish the Calisthenics year. It also gives the children a chance to further develop their skills and the confidence to work on the stage other than in a team situation.

The cost of the competition entry fee, coaching fee, hall hire and costume is the responsibility of the individual.
